Q1. What is Calcium Scale?

Calcium scale is solidification on surface of metal caused by various reasons. It is ion material such as calcium ion dissolved in water or in a suspended form. Typical type of scale is as follows although type of scale differs by condition of water and development place: calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, calcium sulfite, calcium phosphate, calcium silicate and others.

Q2. What kind of problem is caused by calcium scale?

Calcium scale deposits adhere to inner wall of boiler, cooling system, heat exchanger and related pipe work. It may cause restriction of flow of water leading to increase pump pressure, damage to equipment, pipe work and other related problems.

Q3. Where does calcium scale often deposit?

Cooling Towers with evaporate water and condense water, including condenser with high water temperature, eliminator where evaporate water and heat exchanger uses groundwater with high contents of calcium may have more frequent calcium scale.

Q4. Does anti-calcium chemical solve problem?

The level of effect differs depending on the type of chemical being used. It may  cause environmental problems if strong chemicals are used.It may also require chemical rinsing and other facilities to treat the chemical discharge. In addition it depends on the contents of the chemicals that may accelerate the development of Red-Rust and degrading of the water pipes resulting in very high maintenance costs. Q5. How does Non Scalor prevent Calcium Scale?

When water containing scale element components passes through NON SCALOR UNIT, calcium ion such as Sodium Cation are forced to react with free carbon dioxide in the water, are micro crystallized, and disperse into water (nano-suspension). Once the scale components in water are forced to nano-crystallization by the NON SCALOR UNIT and dispersed into water (nano-suspension), there is no chance to develop to the size necessary to form scale deposits.
